Family & Me Early Years Program

The early years of a child’s life are a time of incredible growth and discovery, not just for the child but also for parents navigating the joys and challenges of early parenthood. At Sparkling Seeds, we are committed to supporting families during this crucial period through our Family & Me Early Years Program. Designed for families with babies and toddlers (ages 0 to 36 months), this program offers a holistic approach to early childhood development, building a strong relationship foundation for both children and their parents/caregivers.

Our Approach

Our Family & Me Early Years Program is rooted in the understanding that the well-being of a child is closely linked to the wellness of their family. We provide a nurturing, supportive environment where parents can build skills, gain confidence, and strengthen their connection with their children. Whether you’re a new parent or looking to enhance your parenting approach, our program offers a blend of emotional support, practical coaching, and resources to help you thrive.

Family & Me

How It Works

Our program encompasses a range of services designed to support families at different stages of early childhood:

One-on-One Parent-Child Parenting Session

Parents can bring their baby to participate in personalized one-on-one parenting guidance led by a professional therapist, which helps address parenting challenges and fosters a safe and close bond between parent and child. These activities include but are not limited to: psychoeducation, art and sensory, music, play, reading and singing, as well as movement. Early education and psychoeducation is important for both babies and parents because it promotes brain development, language, and social skills, and fosters curiosity and a sense of security. Through close interaction, it strengthens the parent-child bond, helping the child grow healthily and laying a solid foundation for future learning.

Interactive Parent-Child Programs (1V2/1V3)

Our hands-on, skill-based development sessions are designed to foster a deeper connection between parents and their children. These sessions are structured specifically, in that one therapist works with two families or three families. Over a series of weeks, parents and children participate together in activities that promote bonding, relationship building, mutual understanding, learning, and social interaction. Each session begins with social connection time, followed by workshops that teach practical parenting skills, and concludes with a parent-child activity to practice what has been learned. Early education groups are important for babies as they promote social skills, encourage adaptability, and offer learning through imitation. Group activities provide diverse experiences, helping babies develop emotionally and socially while learning to interact with others in a supportive environment.

Emotional Support for Healthy Adjustment

Becoming a parent can be both rewarding and overwhelming. Our individual and group psychotherapy sessions provide parents with a safe space to share their experiences, seek guidance, and build resilience. We address common challenges such as postpartum adjustments, parental anxiety, and the complexities of raising a young child, ensuring that parents feel supported throughout their journey.

Skill-Based Coaching for Parents

We offer coaching sessions that focus on essential parenting skills, helping parents develop effective strategies to nurture their child’s growth. Our programs, such as the “Nobody’s Perfect” program, cover topics including sleep routines, secure attachment, and positive behavior management. These sessions can be delivered as home visits, one-on-one coaching, or in group settings, providing flexibility to meet your needs.

Resources and Workshops

Knowledge is a vital tool for parents. Our program provides access to valuable resources, including storybooks, community services, and practical guides. We also host workshops and seminars on various topics related to early childhood development, where parents can learn from experts and connect with other families in a supportive setting.

Self-Help Groups for Parents

Our self-help groups bring parents together to share their experiences, offer support, and build a sense of community. These groups are facilitated by experienced clinicians who guide discussions and provide insights, helping parents navigate the challenges of early parenthood with confidence.
