Sarah Bognar is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist in the province of Ontario (CASLPO). She has worked as an S-LP for over 17 years and has over 20 years of experience working with children. She is patient and experienced in working with children with complex communication needs and styles. She obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics with a minor in Psychology from McMaster University, and a Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Ithaca College, New York. Sarah strongly believes in using a child and family-centred approach in setting goals and in treatment; this includes the importance of building rapport and utilizing a child’s interests. Sarah always strives to be inclusive, fun, and respectful of clients and families. Sarah has received training in Hanen’s It Takes Two to Talk program, the PROMPT method for children with motor speech disorders, and the Meaningful Speech course, among other training programs. She is a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC). Sarah is excited to be a member of the SL Hunter Speechworks team, partnering with Sparkling Seeds!
